Roderick C. White earned his Juris Doctorate (Law Degree) at the University of Houston Law Center. While a law student, Mr. White was awarded a fellowship to work at one of the most the prestigious capital defense post-conviction law firms in the nation, the Texas Defender Service. Mr. White was also a law clerk at the Houston branch of the NAACP and at two other private law firms.

Mr. White also has a Master's degree in Sociology from the University of Houston where he was awarded a Graduate Teaching Assistant Fellowship. While a graduate student much of Mr. White's research was in the areas of the sociology of law, capital punishment, and criminology.

Mr. White earned his bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he repeatedly earned the honers of being placed on the Dean's List and elected to the Student Senate.

Mr. White was born in the small west Texas town of Sweetwater however; he was raised a short distance away in Big Spring, Texas where he was a stand-out high school basketball player earning an athletic scholarship. Mr. White is also a veteran of the United States Army where he served in South Korea and at Fort Hood, Texas. He was awarded an Army Commendation Medal and two Army Achievement Medals.

Mr. White is currently a member of the American Bar Association (ABA), the Criminal Justice and Law Practice Management sections of the ABA, the Tarrant County Bar Association, the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Tarrant County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Texas Young Lawyers Association, and the Criminal Justice Section of the State Bar of Texas.
